Meeting of Ministers of Culture and Cultural Ambassadors – August 6th

This meeting serves as an opportunity for Ministers of Culture and cultural ambassadors from all over the world to join together and generate ideas and policies that will promote, celebrate, and preserve arts and culture while encouraging economic development.

Creative Economy Workshops – August 6th

Pre-conference workshops explore skills and issues relevant to establishing creative economy as a financial resource for artists.

International Conference on Creative Economy for Development – August 7th

This dynamic conference explores e ways in which creative, artistic, and cultural skills may be used to produce a Creative Economy. (Sponsored by SU-SSC/UNDP)

Humanitarian Project & Healing Arts Day – August 9th

A day to celebrate humanitarian service organizations and helping artists, including UN agencies and organizations around Rwanda, Africa, and the world. Organizations present what they have accomplished and are currently working on, which will serve as a chance for these groups to interact with each other and for the public to gain more awareness of existing efforts. Workshops will be held where artists present and teach their talents to audience for their own use and practice.

International Dance Contest – August 10th

This contest provides African artists and dancers an opportunity to showcase and learn from each other’s cultural excellence and expertise. The winners will be invited to perform at the 2nd WCO Global Festival.
