Our Focus Areas
Guided by our vision of peace, dignity, and shared responsibility, the Won Buddhism UN & Interfaith Office integrates spiritual values with international cooperation to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our work focuses on:
Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation
Promoting dialogue, nonviolence, and reconciliation—grounded in compassion, ethical awareness, and responsibility—to support peaceful, just, and inclusive societies (SDG 16).
Interfaith and Multilateral Cooperation
Strengthening collaboration among religious communities, civil society, and international institutions, fostering trust, shared values, and ethical cooperation in addressing global challenges (SDG 17).
Human Dignity and Social Justice
Advancing equity, human rights, gender equality, and ethical leadership rooted in compassion, inclusion, and moral responsibility (SDGs 5, 10, 16).
Environmental Sustainability and Climate Responsibility
Supporting care for the Earth and responsible stewardship of natural resources, informed by mindfulness, interdependence, and respect for all life (SDGs 13, 15).
Through education, advocacy, and partnership at the United Nations, we work collaboratively to cultivate a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world for present and future generations.

All religions are based on the common source, all human beings are interconnected as One Extended Family, and all social and political enterprises should work toward a prosperous and peaceful world community. – Master Chungsan (1900 – 1961)
